  • Derek and Rachel’s Wedding Is Today

    I’m so excited about Derek and Rachel’s wedding today! They are a sweet couple who met in a bookstore a few years ago and are getting married this afternoon. Its going to be a great wedding!

  • Father’s, Son’s and Summer

    I love this Father / Son portrait from the beach. The outdoors bonds dads and sons like crazy. I know some of my favorite memories of time spent with my dad growing up are on fishing trips, camping or backpacking trips. I think somewhere deep down inside we guys know we’re not really designed for life behind a desk or sitting at a computer.
    Look closely at the little boy’s posture as he and dad play with bubbles. Notice especially the position his feet are in. You can’s see his face, and can’t you imagine the expression by looking at his posture? Something about the air and the sun and the lake just enables personalities to come out like nothing I’ve ever seen. I love photographs that reflect relationship. That’s what Portraits On The Beach is about. Relationships between family. I intentionally scheduled it in the evening, just so dad’s could come. I can’t wait until this year’s sessions!!

  • One of my favorite places in the summer is the beach! Cassy and I go every year. We love it THAT much! If you follow my blog, you have seen us having a blast at the Beach. After going to the beach in Florida 8 years ago I asked myself, “how can I bring a beach portrait experience to our Amarillo clients in the middle of West Texas?” So, I came up with Portraits On The Beach.

    A little known secret in our area is beautiful Lake Greenbelt only 45 minutes from Amarillo. It has wonderful beaches!! So, we decided to do something special. We added really cool beach sessions to our summer line up! We’ve been making once in a lifetime memories with Beach portraits every summer since.

    This year, for three days only, we are going to offer something EXTRA SPECIAL. For the first time ever: We are offering 30 minute mini Beach Portrait sessions at Lake Greenbelt and I’m WAIVING THE SESSION FEES. These sessions are perfect for family, children or senior portraits. Its going to be GREAT! But we are only doing the NO SESSION FEE deal for three nights, July 21, 22 and 23, 2009. We can only photograph 12 sessions during those 3 nights. So only 12 people will be able to take advantage of this VERY SPECIAL OFFER, so be sure to call me today to reserve your time!
